Let's meet the (little) chef ..

Here we go .. !! this site not only belong to me , but my daughter too . I always let her to bake a very simple cookies, starting from measure the ingredients until put some decoration on the top of cookies. A simple way to spend time together with her *sigh ! she is grown so fast, i believe. And now it's not easy to give her hug anymore especially when she is in the class-room , she said, not too much of hugging , bunda ! :D *

This is very simple drop sugar cookies, no skill, no mess with rolling the dough :) but as always, make her smile.

DROP SUGAR COOKIES

Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 cup butter, softened
1-1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
chocolate melted for decoration or any kind of cookies decoration

Preparation:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Cream butter and sugar together with an electric mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla.

On low speed, beat in flour mixture, mixing until all the flour is incorporated. Do not over mix, or the cookies will turn out tough.

Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or a silpat mat.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonful onto prepared cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with your fingers. Sprinkle with sprinkles, if desired.

Bake 8-12 minutes, until cookies are golden brown the bottom

Adorable! I wish I baked this young. It's so great she is learning from you.

I have some baking planned today with my nieces in fact. Should be fun! :)
